I have a really crazy idea, what if I revive my art project to make high resolution sprites for the xenomorph? I was a bit discouraged because I didn't get the movement down so well. But I could model it after the body poses from Aliens TC:



This would be really labor intensive, and would take me a while.

On top of that, none of the other sprites would match, and it would be the only enemy in the game. At least until I was able to make other sprites. But I think I would probably be burnt out by the end of finishing the xenomorph for a while. Hell even making one sprite of this scale would start to burn me out. Thoughts.

I feel the need to add something new, and this would be the ultimate thing to add.

Third option:

I could simply scale up the current sprites, and add more detail to them. This would be the quickest way to achieve my goal.

I was thinking about making them as big as the Alien Trilogy sprites, so I could also make an add-on for Aliens: Eradication.

Because I really like all the enemy sprites from Alien Trilogy, except the xenomorph itself. I always felt it was a bit too hard to discern, even when I played on PS1 back in the day.

I'll keep the original sprites than. But perhaps I can focus my attention on making new custom patches and flats.

If I double it up, it will help distinguish this version from previous iterations.

It looks good but at the same time it seems to have lost a lot of it's sharpness.. i guess it's a side of effect of the smoothing thingy you've done? My monitor has the brightness set on the roof for i have the eyesight of a demented senior, i probably should go to the doctor and fetch a new prescription to update my glasses' firmware but i lost all the trust i had on physicians around six years ago when i was taken to the emergency due to some pesky kidney stones tormenting my weekend. The male nurses at the hospital had the brilliant idea of raping my pee hole with a tiny tube just to collect my urine - can you believe that? The nerve of those dudes.. wanting to see way more skin than this brazilian Jon Snow was willing to show.

You know, i might be skinny as De Niro on Godfather II now but back then i was more juicy and muscular - and for any man to be able to see my virtues well.. the fella would have to work really hard; not those blokes tho, they got to the private party without invitations - two holding my sides and one penetrating my dick, what a sight to behold huh? But anyways, back to the topic: all things considered, i still get visual information a lot better from the smaller "HRGiger wet dream" than from his older brother due to the aforementioned sharpness. Although i never liked to have vaseline applied to my pixels, so take this opinion of mine with a grain of salt as it's only a matter of preference.

I think I finally nailed it. Instead of oilfy, I did despeckle with a 300% resize.
